CakeFest 2010 comprises two main components:

11:00 - 12:00 Database design, optimization, implementation
12:00 - 13:00 Lunch (Included in ticket price)
13:00 - 14:30 Question and answers, begin build
14:30 - 15:00 Afternoon tea
15:00 - 17:00 Finish application build, and discussion
17:00+ Break from formal schedule.. Social outings announced during sessions.

 

Workshop Day 2 - September 3nd
08:00 - 08:30 Questions, answers from yesterdays session
08:30 - 10:30 Optimization: View Caching, DB caching, and more
10:30 - 11:00 Morning tea (Included in ticket price)
11:00 - 12:00 Internationalization / Localization
12:00 - 13:00 Lunch (Included in ticket price)
13:00 - 14:30 Advanced techniques, and user experience
14:30 - 15:00 Afternoon tea
15:00 - 17:00 Open session - One on one time, or tutorial on migration to CakePHP 1.3
17:00+ Break from formal schedule.. Social outings announced during sessions.

 

The workshop schedule is a reasonably solid structure to which the sessions will fit. However if attendees wish to adjust the content or direction of the sessions on the day, material will be adjusted accordingly. Various CakePHP development team members will be available in addition to those leading the session in case you have questions or require some more personal assistance while following the group session.
